New Digimar(R) CX2 Height Gage Family Is Motorized, Automated and More Affordable PROVIDENCE, RI -- The New Digimar(R) CX2 family of digital height gages from Mahr Federal is a series of motorized, programmable height measuring systems which offer a combination of features and performance previously available only in a higher price range. With prices now starting at $3,000, the CX2 line of height gages is well suited for both gage lab and production measurement use. All Digimar CX2 Height Gages feature fully motorized measuring slides that minimize operator influence on part probing for greater measurement precision and repeatability. Key measuring functions can be executed with a single press of a button; and readily programmable measuring routines make it possible to sample batches of mass-produced parts quickly and easily. Numerous measuring and evaluation functions include the measurement of planes, grooves, bores and shafts, and the calculation of distances and symmetries. Max-Min measurements are also supported, as are perpendicularity measurements in conjunction with a digital dial indicator. Canned routines for basic features and simple teach & learn techniques make it easy to program the CX2 for a wide range of measurement tasks. The Digimar CX2 family begins with a measuring range of 14 in. (350 mm), goes through 24" (600 mm), and ends with a large capacity version offering 40" (1000 mm). All units can be extended over 12.5" (317.5 mm) using standard accessories. The system's resolution is0.0001/0.00005 in. (0.01/0.001 mm) and is repeatable to 0.00008 in. (0.002 mm). The two smaller units weigh less then 35 lbs. (16 Kg), making them easy to move about on a surface plate without supplemental air bearings. On the large unit a built-in air pump provides a cushion of air for easy gage positioning to the part. All CX2's provide digital output for computerized data collection or statistics printer.
