Self-Luminous Exit Signs from Mule are Environmentally Friendly, Maintenance Free -- Do not require electrical connections, batteries or wire PROVIDENCE, RI -- The Ever-Green Series of self-luminous exit signs, now available from Mule Lighting, Inc., are a maintenance free and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional exit lighting. Ever-Green's self-powered tritium gas luminescent tubes provide even illumination for up to 20 years without electricity. The units are easy to install, requiring no wiring, electrical connections or batteries, and are spark-proof and explosion-proof for maximum safety. "Ever-Green exit signs offer a low first-cost, no maintenance choice for building and facilities managers," said Rob Cross, Vice President at Mule Lighting, Inc. " You simply mount them in place and forget about them for the next 10, 15 or 20 years. And because they consume no electricity, they are extremely environmentally friendly." The self-luminous signs provide a minimum letter brightness of .15 foot-lamberts for good visibility. Ever-Green units feature an all-plastic, high impact, sealed casing manufactured to ANSI N-540 Standards. The exit signs are waterproof, and are available with a tamperproof and vandal resistant institutional frame option. "Our Ever-Green exit signs are designed and packaged to be highly versatile," Cross explained. "They are shipped with a universal mounting bracket, and are available in single or double face models, with field selectable chevron arrows. Face colors come in red, black and green, with housing colors in black, white, or other custom colors." A ceiling pendant kit is also available. Ever-Green series exit signs from Mule are UL listed and rated for Class 1, Div.1 Hazardous Locations, making them appropriate for a wide range of applications. The signs meet the NFPA-101 Life Safety Code, OSHA 1940-35, MSHA and the Unified Building Code. They are suitable for California low level applications.
