Howard Leight To Showcase VeriPRO™ Real-World Earplug Attenuation Measurement Technology at NSC 2008 Expo

-- Hearing Conservation Director Brad Witt To Do Live Product Demo
-- Howard Leight by Sperian will occupy Booth #1401

Smithfield, RI -- Howard Leight will showcase its VeriPRO™ real-world earplug attenuation measurement technology at this year's National Safety Council 2008 Expo, September 22-24, at the Anaheim Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, CA. The company will occupy Booth #1401.

Developed in conjunction with the House Ear Institute (www.hei.org), VeriPRO measures real-world attenuation of unmodified earplugs. VeriPRO has been adopted by a number of major manufacturers in the aerospace, steel, and pharmaceutical industries as a means to improve individual employee training and enhance the overall effectiveness of hearing conservation programs. With VeriPRO, safety managers can ensure employees are getting the most out of their hearing protection devices. Consisting of software package, audiometrically optimized headphones, and special audio processor, VeriPRO can be used with any earplug model. VeriPRO provides an excellent tool to improve both individual training, which studies have shown to be the most effective means of improving earplug attenuation, and overall hearing conservation program effectiveness.

In addition, Brad Witt, Director of Hearing Conservation for Sperian Hearing Protection, will be a featured presenter at the National Safety Congress's Live Product Demonstration. Witt will do a 30 minute presentation on VeriPRO on Monday, September 22, from 1-1:30 PM PST in Booth #2343.

Howard Leight will also offer samples of its wide range of hearing protection devices, including single and multiple-use earplugs, bands and earmuffs.
