Ashaway Official String of PSA and WISPA Ashaway, RI -- Ashaway Racket Strings has been named the Official String of both the Professional Squash Association (PSA) and the Women's International Squash Players Association (WISPA). The agreements extend through 2005 and 2006 respectively. "Ashaway is delighted to continue our work with PSA and WISPA at the various national and international levels," said Steve Crandall, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Ashaway. "With both organizations it has been a very natural fit, as we are all focused on supporting the sport of squash and the amazing individuals involved in it." Ashaway sponsors top PSA players Peter Nicol, David Palmer and Ong Beng Hee, and is the favorite string of many others on the PSA and WISPA tours. Under the terms of the agreement with PSA, Ashaway will provide sets of squash string to be distributed to PSA's top 100 singles players and top 25 ranked doubles teams. Ashaway string will be available to players on both the PSA and WISPA tours through the official on-site stringers, and the Ashaway brand will be promoted at all sanctioned events. The PSA is the official sanctioning and membership body for the Men's World Rankings. Their internationally recognized tour features over 100 events and visits over 30 countries. Founded in 1983, the Women's International Squash Player's Association was established to unite talented players from around the world, and co-ordinate and expand their opportunities to compete. The organization is responsible for developing and running the WISPA World Tour, as well as producing and publishing regular world rankings.
