Ashaway Introduces Line of Squash Rackets -- New squash rackets optimize string performance and offer maximum kinetic advantage Ashaway, RI -- Continuing their tradition of high quality innovation in the squash market, Ashaway Racket Strings has recently introduced a line of squash rackets. Designed to work with Ashaway's popular line of squash strings, the rackets feature three strategic stringing nodes for enhanced string performance and maximum kinetic advantage. The frames also feature Full Motion string holes which allow the strings to pivot against the outside of the frame, rather than the inside, adding up to 2 cm of active string length. "For years players and distributors have asked us to throw our hats into the squash racket and accessories markets," said Steven Crandall, Vice President of Marketing for Ashaway Racket Strings, "but we were not willing to do that until we knew we could offer something unique and innovative. With these four new rackets, I believe we have done just that." The rackets are available in four models--Rad 475, Liberty 495, Destiny 490 and Hornet 495--each with a frame composed of Carbon 4 and high or extreme modulus graphite. Unlike traditional rackets with uniform or tapered frame cross-sections, the new Ashaway squash rackets employ strategically positioned nodes to boost string performance for optimum results. The Power Node is positioned at the top of the frame and amplifies the effect of the six main strings. It also stiffens and reinforces the frame at the 12 o'clock position. Control Nodes are located at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions and support the strings at the heart of the sweetspot, for maximum control. Finally, stabilization nodes stiffen and solidify the frame at key points, creating a more stable impact when hitting. Complementing this unique nodal enhancement system, 20 Full Motion string holes allow the strings to pivot against the outside of the frame, adding up to 2 cm of active string length. Traditional racket strings use smaller string holes, forcing the string to pivot inside the frame, restricting string movement. The four racket models offer a wide range of playing features, providing players at all levels of expertise and playing styles with a racket designed to enhance their specific performance needs. The rackets will be available through Black Knight in the US and Canada, and other Ashaway distributors worldwide. Ashaway Racket Strings are made by Ashaway Line & Twine Mfg.
